Yana was rescued from a kill shelter in Ohio in April 2007. She had a huge mass on her underbelly, having obviously been used for breeding all her life, and she was heartworm positive. Because her health was so fragile, Yana was placed in a loving foster home for the time she had left, instead of being put up for adoption. Yana had four beautiful months in foster care, knowing what it was like to be loved and spoiled, catered to and appreciated before her tumor ruptured in July 2007 and we all had to say our final goodbyes. You'll always be in our hearts pretty girly girl!
